Welcome to Yeager!

Many items are still needed for the Teen Kits for CYS we’ll be building on Sunday, September 13th following the Worship Service and Birthdays & Anniversaries Celebration. Talk to Ashley Fetters about what is still needed!

We will be holding a retirement celebration following Pastor Jenny’s final sermon on Sunday, September 27th. The worship service will start at the usual time, 10 am, followed by the celebration in the Social Room. The church will be providing fried chicken and cake and we’re asking everyone who is able to provide potluck side dishes. Please let Jan Conway know you are coming and how many will be with you, so we have a count for the chicken.

There is a donation bin for each Pastor that I’ll be placing in the back of the church. All funds placed in each bin will go towards a gift to celebrate each Pastor’s accomplishments—Pastor Jenny’s 26 years of service, and Pastor Katie’s completion of Seminary and her ordination as our new Pastor. If you have any suggestions or thoughts on the prospective gifts, the council would be glad to hear them. We do have some things in mind, but we want your input as well. Let’s fill the sanctuary on September 27th and October 4th. Let’s come together as a church family and do what we can to show our amazing pastors how much they mean to us.

Several people from Yeager are participating in the Bollman Charter day trip to the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC. Call them at 814-623-2181 to sign up and pay your deposit, and be sure to tell them you’re with Yeager so we can all ride on the same bus!

One of the most important responsibilities of the church is the Biblical teaching of our little ones. If you’re feeling a calling to be a part of this important mission, please talk to one of the Pastors as soon as possible! We’re so thankful for all of our Sunday School Teachers and would like to be able to offer the option to take turns so that those who’d like to attend Adult Sunday School are able to do so.
